What “reviewed” means
Content is checked for educational accuracy, clarity and relevance to its stated learning objective. Independent or external review is only claimed where a named review process is specifically recorded.

Clear standards for educational content.
Med with Spence is an independent, doctor-led educational platform. We review, update and correct material to support learning. Review status does not mean regulatory approval, clinical certification, exam-body endorsement or a guarantee that guidance will never change.
Time-sensitive topics
Guidelines, thresholds, pathways and drug recommendations can change. Where content is guideline-sensitive, learners should verify current official guidance and local policy before clinical application.
Errors are corrected, not hidden
Reported concerns are investigated against appropriate sources. Material may be corrected, replaced or temporarily withheld where needed. A change does not rewrite a learner’s previous study history as a different lesson.
Our review framework
Educational material may draw on established medical knowledge, recognised clinical references and relevant national or international professional guidance. The appropriate source depends on the topic and the level of the learner.
- Clinical and guideline-sensitive claims should be checked against an appropriate authoritative source at the point of review.
- Lessons can be updated as guidance, evidence or exam frameworks change.
- A review record applies to the version reviewed; it should not be read as permanent approval of every future version.
- Where a lesson has specific source or review metadata, that information should be treated as the record for that lesson.
Important: Med with Spence does not describe the whole library as independently clinically approved unless that level of review has actually occurred and is documented.
Release scope and versioning
The released library changes over time as material is added, corrected, replaced or temporarily withheld. Counts shown in planning tools are a snapshot of the released catalogue used by that tool, not a promise that every planned lesson is immediately available.
A membership covers the content made available under that product and entitlement during the relevant access period. Preview, planned or roadmap material is not an immediate entitlement unless the product or checkout page expressly says otherwise.
Educational use
The Visual Learning OS is designed to support understanding, retrieval practice, recall and revision. It is not a clinical decision-support system and does not replace clinical judgement, supervised training, local protocols or current official guidance.
Content should not be used as the sole basis for patient care. If a teaching point conflicts with current official guidance or local policy, the current authoritative source takes precedence.
Learning evidence
The OS uses established learning approaches such as active retrieval and spaced review. Progress indicators describe study activity and self-assessed recall within the platform.
Unless specifically supported by published product-level evidence, Med with Spence does not treat those indicators as proof of clinical competence, a validated prediction of examination performance, or a guaranteed improvement in results.
Exam integrity
Med with Spence is an independent revision platform. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by an examination body, Royal College, the NHS or a regulator unless that relationship is expressly stated.
Do not submit confidential examination material, recalled protected exam questions, patient-identifiable information or other information you are not entitled to share. Exam and organisation names may be used descriptively to identify the learner audience and curriculum context.
What we do not claim
Unless expressly supported by a named and current record, Med with Spence does not claim NHS, Royal College, regulator or exam-body approval; independent clinical certification; guaranteed examination outcomes; a validated measure of clinical competence; or that every lesson has been independently reviewed.
Learner feedback describes individual experience. It is not treated as controlled evidence that the platform causes a particular exam result or learning outcome.
Accessibility and alternative formats
The platform is visual by design. Supporting text, summaries and alternative presentation methods are used where available, and accessibility is reviewed as the product develops.
If a visual format creates an access barrier, contact medwithspence@gmail.com with the track and lesson ID. We will review the barrier and consider a reasonable alternative or product improvement where practicable.
AI-generated explanations
Where an AI tutor or platform adviser is used, generated answers can be incomplete or wrong. AI output is educational support, not a verified clinical source. Guideline-sensitive details should be checked against current official sources.
Do not enter patient-identifiable information, passwords, one-time codes, payment-card details or confidential exam content into AI features.
How corrections are handled
Send the exam track, lesson or slide ID, the point you believe is incorrect and—where possible—the source you think should be checked. We use that information to investigate the specific content rather than assuming a report is correct or dismissing it without review.
- Material may remain available, be amended, replaced or be temporarily withheld depending on the issue.
- Corrections should preserve version and source history where that information is recorded.
- We do not promise that every reported concern will result in a change.
